Travelodge

When Travelodge acquired the former Plaza hotel in Belfast.  Andrew Nesbitt architects were appointed to project manage the restructuring and refitting of the entire hotel to Travelodge City corporate style. The practice managed and led a design team providing architectural, interior design, planning supervisor services, quantity surveying, and M&E consultancy. The work which was completed in phases included the creation of 14 additional bedrooms from former meeting rooms and residents lounges, and the installation of new case goods throughout the guest rooms. The dining room was restructured to create a new Bar Café in the first floor conservatory with new kitchens installed at first floor level. Reception areas were remodeled to create a modest residents lounge and front desk. The existing ground floor was restructured by the landlord and leased off to new operators of the Olio restaurant. New corporate signage was installed externally and internally.

The practice has also carried out feasibility studies for Travelodge, examining new hotel locations in Ireland.
